HARRY CONFORTI

Born and raised in Brookline, Massachusetts, Harry Conforti graduated from Brookline High School and then completed a post- graduate year at Williston Northampton in Easthampton, MA. He then attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst on a wrestling scholarship and also played all four years on the nationally ranked UMASS lacrosse team. During Conforti’s senior year, he was named to the All-New England Team. The next 12 years were spent playing club lacrosse for CVLC, Brine Lacrosse Club and summer leagues.

In 1983 Conforti ventured to Perth, Western Australia with three other Yanks as part of the first American wave. While in Perth he played for Bayswater Lacrosse Club.

Upon receiving his degree from UMASS, Conforti began his professional career in the food, beverage and entertainment industry. After managing various Boston locations, he went to work for Lyons Group Management. Conforti served as Vice President of Purchasing and was involved in the development of major entertainment events in the Boston nightlife scene for over 25 years.

Currently, he is involved with Back 9 USA, a company he co-founded in 1997. Back 9 is a headwear and apparel company.



PETER SCHMITZ

Peter Schmitz has been involved with lacrosse for over 35 years. Schmitz hails from Port Washington, NY, and is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts. He was a four-year member of the UMASS lacrosse team where he was a two-time All American. After college, he played eight years for the Boston Blazers professional team.

In 1992, Schmitz was the founder and first president of the Professional Lacrosse Players Association (PLPA) and remains the only person to ever hold that elected position. He also founded and coached the East Bay Lacrosse and Metacomet Select lacrosse teams in Rhode Island. Schmitz is an inductee to both the New York Metro - Long Island Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the New England Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

Schmitz is currently Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Store Development for the Casual Male retail group, a 450 store retail chain headquartered in Canton, MA. He continues to remain extremely active in the lacrosse community.
